Press Release, 24 June 2008
TP Group is being acquired by NIRAS Gruppen A/S, one of Denmark's most highly respected consulting engineering companies. The merger creates an exciting new Northern European consulting company with a broad spectrum of services. The new Group boasts excellent market coverage in the Baltic region, and will also be the market leader in a host of very interesting competence areas.
As part of its continued expansion in Northern Europe, NIRAS is acquiring all shares in real estate consultancy TP Group and its subsidiaries from 30 June 2008. The acquisition creates a more comprehensive service proposition and considerably increases the Group's market presence in Sweden, Finland and the Baltic region. Moreover, it provides access to high-level expertise and far-reaching experience in a number of business areas NIRAS would like to develop on other markets where it operates or would like to operate.
- TP Group is gaining a strong, development-minded, long-term owner that will enable our continued expansion and development. Our business plan is to double the business in four years, and the merger gives us the muscle to achieve this, says Jan Leife, CEO of TP Group. It also enables us to supplement our current service proposition with further cutting-edge expertise and to consolidate our position as the market's most complete real estate consulting company.
- Moreover, it opens up a larger international market. NIRAS currently operates on markets where we are not active, which is why we complement each other well.
TP Group has experienced a strong increase in demand for its services in recent years, and also views the merger with NIRAS as an opportunity both to retain skilled consultants and to attract new ones.
- We have a strong need to recruit, and view this change extremely positively, says Jan Leife. The synergies with NIRAS will create excellent conditions for developing new markets and new consulting services alike.
According to Carsten Toft Boesen, Managing Director of NIRAS, the acquisition of TP Group is an important step in NIRAS's strategy both to add further cutting-edge expertise and to achieve a strong market position in the Baltic region.
- TP Group gives NIRAS a far stronger presence in Sweden, Finland and the Baltic region, combined with new leading-edge skills in the business areas we want to develop further. Together we can capitalise completely on new market opportunities in both Denmark and Poland, says Carsten Toft Boesen.
- TP Group specialises in more commercial and strategic consultation for the construction and property sector, and can therefore help to move our advice further up the value chain. At the same time, this paves the way for reaching new customers with our expertise. With NIRAS's cutting-edge expertise in areas such as the environment, indoor climate, and fire and safety, TP Group is gaining the kind of product breadth its customers have been demanding.
